The University of Prince Edward Island adopted a Sustainability Policy in March 2009. The policy affirms the University's committment to sustainability. The Sustainability Policy included the creation of a Sustainabilty Advisory Committee, whose mandate would be to work collaboratively across campus to promote sustainable practices.
